Composer/pianist/B3 organist/vocalist Fran Jaré beguiles the listener with warm, smoky and sexy vocals judiciously interspersed between piano and B3 organ solos. Well-known in Vancouver circles as the founder of multi-facted Funky Jazz, R&B, Fusion, Soultrax. The Chicago-born Jaré returns to the jazz arena with her stunning new CD Copy Cat Coo Coo which is an amalgam of recordings with various ensembles of 8 originals, from catchy and earthy, to modal, and lush harmonies. The debut recording was aired June 3rd on CBC “Hot Air” with an interview by Margaret Gallagher receiving enthusiastic accolades from all over the province.
